The Challenge
In November 2023, the Orange County Board of Supervisors voted to commemorate the inaugural class of the Orange County Hall of Fame, with a ceremony slated for January 12, 2024. In six short weeks, Westbound conducted all the event planning and management to pursue and secure the 10 inductees and coordinate the physical ceremony. Inductees included high-profile celebrities such as Amanda Beard, Kobe Bryant, Walt Disney, Greg Louganis, Gwen Stefani, and Tiger Woods. We repeated the production for the Class of 2024 Hall of Fame with an induction ceremony on December 10, 2024.
The Solution
With a team from Westbound working non-stop with the County’s Communications team, the event came together without a hitch. Every detail was anticipated, and the VIP inductees were all happy and honored to be a part of this inaugural 2023 Hall of Fame class. Media attended in droves, and surprisingly, they stayed for the entire 2.5-hour ceremony, even staying afterwards to grab interviews with the Supervisors. Coverage from the event was overwhelmingly positive and paved the way for the 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony that occurred in December 2024, where we managed the event and secured all inductees.
