The Challenge
A leading Christian university with a rich history and diverse academic offerings, CBU sought to
increase student enrollment and grow its thought leadership amidst a competitive educational
landscape. CBU looked to Westbound to modernize its communication strategy and connect
with prospective students, alumni, and the broader community through media relations,
community outreach and content development.


The Solution
Our multifaceted approach exceeded CBU’s objectives, achieving an increase in student
enrollment and strengthening of relationships with alumni and donors. Positive media coverage
increased by more than 500 percent, with high-profile print and broadcast features that focused
on CBU’s largest ever donation, the university’s aviation and flight program, and SoCal-wide
coverage to promotion their musical production of A CBU Christmas. The program has set a
successful stage in fostering long-term success.
